The French Electrochemical Energy Storage network (RS2E) is a French research and technology transfer network dedicated to various energy storage devices: rechargeable batteries, supercapacitors and alternative technologies for a wide range of uses (electric vehicles, portable electronics, storage of electricity from renewable sources). RS2E is a CNRS network created with the support of the French Ministry of Education and Research.
Created in 2011, RS2E has since been coordinated by CNRS Gold Medalist Professor Jean-Marie Tarascon (Collège de France, Paris) and Professor Patrice Simon (Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse), internationally recognized specialists in electrochemical energy storage.
