Martin Anderlind joined Altris as CEO in September 2022. Martin’s career is centred around a mix of entrepreneurship, technology and societal transformation. Martin joined Northvolt at its incorporation in 2016 and spent the first years building up the Business Development function (& Brand) and secured €13B in battery contracts with Scania, BMW, VW, ABB, Siemens and others in order to finance the Northvolt Labs facility in Västerås and the Northvolt Ett factory in Skellefteå. 2019 Martin switched to the role of Chief Talent (& Brand) Officer supporting the growth from 250 to 2500 employees in four countries across nine sites. Prior to Northvolt he spent a year in Menlo Park, Silicon Valley digging into all things machine learning. 2003 to 2015 Martin co-founded and as CEO built Itrim in Sweden, Germany, USA and China to counter the growing obesity epidemic. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board. In 1995 Martin co-founded Internet consultancy Netsolutions which 1999 merged with Framtidsfabriken and IPO:ed as Framfab. Martin’s served in sales, marketing and PR roles, as manager and board member, including CEO of venture capital arm Framfab Innovation, until 2001. Douglas Campbell is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Solid Power. The company has extensive partnerships with both BMW and Ford to jointly develop all-solid-state batteries. In October 2021, Solid Power announced a partnership with SK Innovation to produce Solid Power’s automotive-scale all-solid-state battery cells utilizing Solid Power’s sulfide-based solid electrolyte, proprietary cell designs and production processes. The company was initially funded by prominent investors including Hyundai, Volta Energy Technologies, Umicore, Sanoh, A123 Systems and Solvay. In parallel with establishing Solid Power, he founded i2C Solutions, LLC (“i2C”), a thermal management company, and co-founded Roccor, LLC (“Roccor”), a component supplier for the small satellite industry. i2C and Roccor merged in 2015, with Roccor being the surviving entity. Mr. Campbell served as the Chief Executive Officer of Roccor until the end of 2018 and remained on its board of directors until the company was acquired in late 2020. He began his career in advanced technology development at the Space Vehicles Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland AFB, NM. Dahn’s research has been recognized by numerous awards including a Governor General’s Innovation Award (2016) and the Gerhard Herzberg Gold Medal in Science and Engineering (2017), Canada’s top science prize. Dr. Annelies De Wael is convinced that clear and attractive science communication holds the key to a cleaner, more durable society. Therefore, she now works as a policy advisor at the department of Economics, Science and Innovation of the Flemish government, where she gets the opportunity to translate science to policy makers. The focus of her job lies on energy transition from a research and innovation perspective. She believes communication between scientists and government is essential to achieve a coherent (science) policy and tries to facilitate this.
Prior to this job as a science policy advisor, she worked in academia. She obtained a PhD in physics at the University of Antwerp. Her research focused on developing statistical quantitative methods to reliably quantify nanomaterials at the atomic scale, based on electron microscopy imaging. During her PhD, she increasingly started seizing opportunities to learn more about science communication and to widen her view on the scientific field. Invaluable skills, that she still keeps up to date every day.

Kim Kreisköther studied chemistry at Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany and specialized in materials and nanotechnology in her Master's degree. During her doctoral research, she focused on electrode materials and took over the leadership of the electrochemistry group. Kim Kreisköther then worked at the institute for Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components at the RWTH Aachen University, where she heads the Battery Components & Recycling group. Since January 2022, she is part of the novel battery expert team at Henkel and is responsible for innovation in the area of safety-relevant solutions for battery systems.

Olivier KUENY

Olivier Kueny is a Senior Loan Officer in the Project & Structured Finance department at the EIB, where he is covering Project Finance activities notably in relation to renewables, EV Battery Gigafactories and Battery Energy Storage Systems in Western Europe. Previously, Olivier worked as Senior PPP Specialist at the Asian Development Bank in Manila advising Central Asian Governments on PPPs; Chief Investment Officer at AMEA Power in Dubai developing power projects in Africa and Asia; and Director in Project Finance at HSBC in Dubai and London. Before his MBA, he was an Operations Manager in an EDF nuclear power plant in France. Olivier has an MBA from London Business School and is an engineer from Mines ParisTech.

Benoît LEMAIGNAN

Benoit Lemaignan is the co-founder and CEO of Verkor, a new venture launched to accelerate the production capacity of low-carbon batteries in southern Europe, in collaboration with EIT InnoEnergy, Schneider Electric, Capgemini and the Groupe IDEC. Prior to the launch, EIT InnoEnergy brought Benoit on board to build synergies with the European Battery Alliance. An aerospace engineer by training, Benoit is a serial entrepreneur. He previously founded and financed Waga Energy in 2015 and Aniah in 2019. He was also Managing Director of OSER ENR from 2015 to 2019 - a public-private partnership supporting the development of renewable projects. Earlier in his career, Benoit was a strategic advisor at Carbone 4 where his passion for energy and climate-related initiatives took root. From his time at Airbus, Benoit retains a strong drive for innovation and teamwork.

Dr. Dominik Lembke is Director Product Development at SVOLT Energy Technology Europe GmbH. Before joining SVOLT Europe in August 2021, he was the Head of BEV Battery Systems and Technical Project Manager HV Battery BEV at Porsche AG in Weissach. In this role, he was responsible, among other things, for the system integration of battery components as HV battery systems into the vehicle. Dominik Lembke holds a doctorate in science (Dr. sc. ETH) from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. He also holds degrees in physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs, Paris, Munich & Turin.

Fabien is a managing director within the Low Carbon Transition Group at BNP Paribas CIB. He has over 17 years of banking experience with a particular focus on advisory for power and energy transition assets, providing services to a wide range of clients including major utilities, infrastructure funds, industrials and start-ups. His recent relevant experience includes the financial advisory for Northvolt ($1.6bn debt) and for the 3 first French offshore wind projects developed by EDF Renewables, Enbridge and wpd (beyond €7bn debt overall). He is currently advising several industrials and car OEMs with respect to battery manufacturing and pCAM/CAM projects in the EMEA region, assisting on bankability, funding sources and execution processes.

Jordan is a Sustainability Coordinator at Minviro, a UK-based life cycle assessment company that works within the raw material and battery industries to quantify and reduce environmental impact of key materials and products for decarbonisation. He is responsible for integrating raw material and battery production impact databases with Minviro’s technology solutions, research and development into new processes, technology and methodologies within the space, and company marketing and strategy. He recently completed his PhD in platinum-group element prospectivity using machine learning approaches, and has significant experience working with ore deposit geology, geochemistry and economic minerals prior to commencing his role with Minviro.

Helmut Mack studied chemistry and holds a Ph.D. in metal-organic chemistry. After a post-doc in Israel he started working on silanes for Hüls AG in 1996. In 2004 he changed to construction chemicals (became BASF in 2006). In 2011 he joined Evonik and took over the applied technology for silanes in Asia Pacific. He started an Evonik new growth business dealing with specialty metal organics & oxides in 2013. His current focus is on performance additives for battery and electronic applications.
