In 2014, he received the Ph.D. in Physics from the Science School of the University of Minho. Currently, He is Assistant Researcher at the same institution. He has been visiting scientist at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome, Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) and Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IITJ). His work is focused on the development electroactive polymer based material for energy storage applications, including lithium-ion batteries, sodium-ion batteries and printed batteries. He is also working in the processing, characterization and optimization of advanced polymer based functional materials for sensor and actuator applications. He has published over 230 scientific publications, 10 books chapters and co-editor of the first book on Printed Batteries (Wiley) and the first book on Advanced Lightweight Multifunctional Materials.
