OLLIVIER Ivan

Ivan Ollivier has been serving as Head of R&D at Blue Solutions, a subsidiary of the Bolloré Group and the leading global manufacturer and designer of Solid Batteries, since April 2026.

His mission is to accelerate the transition from research to product development, bringing the company’s next generation SSB (GEN4) technology to the automotive market.

With more than 30 years of experience, Ivan has built his career at the intersection of strategy, technology, and industrial execution. An expert in battery technologies and electrochemistry, he has led international teams, developed R&D organizations, and guided transformation and innovation projects in the automotive and energy sectors. His approach combines strategic vision, operational excellence, and a results-oriented mindset.

Before joining Blue Solutions, he was Head of Innovation at Automotive Cells Company (ACC), where he helped expand the R&D organization, develop strategic partnerships, and drive innovation initiatives, including the use of AI to support research and development.

Earlier in his career, Ivan held several leadership roles at Nissan, where he launched innovation labs in Europe and Silicon Valley and contributed to the development of partnerships and new business initiatives. He also worked as a strategy consultant at Booz Allen and Gemini Consulting on projects related to strategy, transformation, and operational improvement.

A graduate of Chimie ParisTech, Stanford University, INSEAD, and École Polytechnique, Ivan has led international and multicultural teams throughout his career. He is passionate about sustainable technologies and supports Europe’s ambition in next-generation battery innovation.
