Marko Galić is a Researcher at Battery4Life GmbH, the Austrian competence center for battery technologies, and a PhD Candidate at the Vehicle Safety Institute of Graz University of Technology. His research focuses on lithium-ion battery safety, degradation mechanisms, electrochemical battery modeling, and advanced diagnostic methodologies for the detection of safety critical battery states. His work includes the development of a framework for assessing the State of Safety (SOS) of batteries through non-destructive electrochemical measurements, with the aim of enabling safety-aware battery management and practical SOS determination in industrial applications. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and gained industry experience at Infineon Technologies.
