Dr. Mathias Gruber is Head of Sales – Energy Technologies at Leonhard Kurz Stiftung & Co. KG and Associate Director of Horizon-Kurz New Material Technology GmbH. He is therefore responsible for bringing to market the innovative solutions KURZ and Horizon-Kurz offer to the Battery industry, spanning from high-performance coated separator films and carbon-coated current collectors to innovative flame-retardant materials and sensor technologies for battery-pack applications.

With a PhD in Physics, M.Sc. in Nanotechnology, and a strong technical background gained through more than 10 years of R&D work on functional foils within the KURZ Group, he combines a deep technical know-how with business development and strategical management skills across KURZ and Horizon-Kurz.
