SCHOLZ Tobias

Tobias Scholz joined the Automotive & Energy Solutions division at Keysight Technologies in Bochum, Germany as an R&D Engineer in 2024. As a member of the Innovation Center, he is focusing on the characterization of traction batteries at the end of their useful life in electric vehicles, which includes the development of a mobile testing solution in the public funded project Re-Use. Main areas of his expertise include lithium-ion battery characterization, modeling and diagnostics from cell to pack level as well as energy management in charging infrastructures, and practice-oriented training and vocal education for working with sustainable mobility solutions. Between 2017 and 2025 he held a position as a research associate at the Electric Vehicle Institute at Bochum University of Applied Sciences, where he contributed to the acquisition, coordination, and implementation of research and industry projects. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Electromobility at the University of Wuppertal. He received his master’s degree in electrical engineering from Bochum University of Applied Sciences in 2018.
