Guillaume Lecocq holds a PhD in Energetics, which was dedicated to CFD modeling of combustion in spark-ignition engines. He's been working in Ineris for more than 10 years, with an activity based on modeling and experimental campaigns with a focus on gas explosion.

JEAN Grégoire

Grégoire is a graduate of Ecole Normale Supérieure, with a physicist background. He then worked in the private sector in different positions spanning from innovation to marketing. He joined Imerys in 2013 as the Global Marketing Manager for the Calcium Carbonate division. In 2020, he had been asked to investigate the potential of the Beauvoir deposit as a credible source of lithium. Now in 2025, as the R&D lithium projects director, he is reflecting on the innovations that made it a reality.

GAYA Caroline

Dr. Caroline Gaya has obtained after an Engineering degree in Energy Storage, a PhD in electrochemical engineering. Working for several years in aeronautical field as Thermal Project leader she has now joined Ineris as a project leader, conducting several research projects and supporting industrial clients along technical studies. She is now also involved in the office in charge of Emergency Response in France (CASU) and had participated to several post-accident studies involving batteries.

BRIQUELEUR Elsa

Elsa Briqueleur holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Montreal (Canada, UdeM). She has experience in electrochemistry and physicochemistry of inorganic materials for insertion batteries, as well as in electron transfer. Her professional experience has focused on the development of a photobattery (PhD) and on the recycling of graphite from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries (postdoctorate). This has allowed her to work with mild hydrometallurgy and the detailed physicochemistry of regenerated materials, as well as their performance in cells. Philippe holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry and computing science from University of Bordeaux after what he joined Saft in 1991 and worked first as research scientist for rechargeable lithium and Li-ion. Javier Gazzarri is a Consulting Application Engineer at MathWorks, where he has worked for 15 years. Dr Benoit Chavillon holds a PhD in chemistry of materials and is working in energy fields since 15 years. He was research engineer for 10 years in primary and secondary battery and works on different subject as primary thionyl chloride cell, NiZn, LiS, Li-ion, supercapacitors and focused on different battery technology as gen 3 to 5. He is now leading the prototype and process development laboratory for battery cells at CEA, a group that works on R&D to increase the lifespan of cells, increase their performance and move towards the lowest possible environmental footprint.
